ITI Capital Enters UK Special Administration

ITI Capital Ltd entered special administration on September 25, the Financial Conduct Authority said. The court appointed Duncan Perring and David Soden of Teneo Financial Advisory Ltd as special administrators.

The FCA describes ITI Capital as an authorised and regulated brokerage that helped customers invest in shares and bonds and looked after their investments. The regulator also said the firm had agreed on August 10, 2025 to stop most regulated activity in the UK and overseas, and to stop accepting new client money or custody assets.

Special administration is a modified insolvency process for certain investment firms. The administrators take control of the firm’s affairs and are responsible for managing the process under insolvency law. The FCA said it will work with them to seek the best outcome for customers.

Why it matters

Clients of a broker in special administration should rely on communications from the appointed administrators and the FCA, rather than act on unsolicited messages about transfers, withdrawals or compensation. The FCA specifically warned customers to stay alert to scams. The process does not mean every client has the same outcome; client-money, custody-asset and claim arrangements can depend on the records and the administration process.

What to watch next

Watch for notices from the administrators on the claims and client-asset process, including any instructions for customers. Investors should keep account statements and correspondence, verify contact details through the FCA notice, and avoid sending information or money to unverified contacts.
