FCA Adds Morizon Ltd to Its Warning List
The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) added Morizon Ltd to its Warning List on 18 September. The regulator says the firm is not authorised or registered by the FCA and may be providing or promoting financial services or products without permission.
The FCA advises consumers to avoid dealing with the firm and to be alert to scams. The warning does not establish that every contact using a similar name or set of details is connected to the named firm. It does, however, mean traders and investors should not treat claims of UK regulatory status as verified simply because a business presents itself as a financial-services provider.
Why it matters
Before sending money, opening an account, or acting on a trading offer, users should check a firm’s permissions through the FCA Firm Checker and use the contact details shown in the register. Dealing with an unauthorised business can leave a customer without access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or Financial Services Compensation Scheme protection if something goes wrong.
What to watch next
The FCA says firms and impersonators can change contact details over time. Check the Warning List and the Firm Checker again if a provider’s name, website, phone number, or payment instructions change.
