Gate Adds US Stocks, ETFs, IPO Access and Tokenized Equities Through Alpaca
Gate has expanded its product offering to include US-listed stocks and ETFs, access to eligible US initial public offering allocations, and tokenized US equities. The global digital-asset platform said the new services are supported by Alpaca’s brokerage infrastructure, with custody and settlement of underlying shares handled through that infrastructure.
According to Alpaca, Gate customers can access more than 10,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs through Gate Stocks, subject to availability and eligibility. The platform is also offering IPO allocations for eligible offerings and gStocks, its tokenized-equity product. Alpaca says gStocks are issued and tokenized by third parties and generally provide economic exposure rather than direct ownership of the underlying shares.
The companies describe the launch as part of Gate’s move from a digital-asset trading venue toward a broader multi-asset platform. Alpaca said its infrastructure allows the platform to combine securities access, IPO allocations and tokenized assets without using separate providers for each service.
Why it matters
The expansion gives eligible Gate users another route to US equity and ETF exposure alongside digital assets. Traders should distinguish direct securities from tokenized products: the issuer’s disclosures say tokenized assets may not provide shareholder rights, are speculative, and can lose all value. Availability, investor eligibility and local regulatory restrictions can differ by product and jurisdiction.
What to watch next
Watch for Gate’s country-by-country availability details, the eligible IPO list and the terms governing gStocks. Traders should also check whether an order is for a directly held security or a tokenized product before placing it, since custody, rights and protections may differ.
