MetaTrader 5 Build 6140 Adds AI Assistant and Web Terminal Improvements
MetaQuotes released MetaTrader 5 platform update build 6140 on 20 August, adding new AI Assistant options and further Web Terminal improvements for users of the multi-asset trading platform.
The release notes say the main change is expanded AI Assistant capability, including support for additional large-language-model providers such as Alibaba, Atomic Chat, Bitdeer AI, Cerebras and z.ai. That continues MetaQuotes’ push to make AI tools part of the MetaTrader workflow after earlier releases added native Model Context Protocol support and agentic AI features.
For traders and brokers, the update matters because AI functions are moving closer to the platform layer where users manage charts, code, orders and analysis.
