TradingView Adds Moderator Review Before Pine Scripts Reach Feeds
TradingView changed how public Pine Script indicators and strategies move into its community discovery surfaces, shifting from publish-first moderation to moderator review before scripts appear in feeds or search.
The platform said scripts published from August 14 onward still appear on the author’s profile and can be opened, favorited and used from there. The difference is distribution: moderator review determines whether a publication becomes “Suggested,” remains profile-only, or is hidden for serious violations such as spam, scams, fraud or intellectual property issues.
TradingView also introduced updated limits for public script publishing: up to five new public scripts within 24 hours and up to 15 within 30 days. The company said review timing can vary and that there is not yet a status tracker for the queue.
Why it matters
Pine scripts are part of many traders’ day-to-day workflow, especially for custom indicators, strategy testing and community-discovered tools. Review-before-feed distribution may reduce low-quality or abusive scripts in discovery areas, but it also changes how quickly new tools become visible beyond an author’s own followers and profile visitors.
For script developers, the update makes publication planning more important. Release cadence, rule compliance and clear documentation can affect whether a script reaches broader discovery or stays profile-only.
What to watch next
Watch whether TradingView adds clearer review status, appeal workflows or additional publishing controls. Traders using community scripts should continue checking author history, script logic and risk assumptions before applying any indicator or strategy to live decisions.
