MetaTrader 5 Build 5640 Adds Dark-Theme Refinements and Markdown Editing

MetaQuotes has released MetaTrader 5 Build 5640, a platform update focused less on new trading features and more on usability and stability across the terminal, MetaEditor, and the strategy tester. The headline changes are a broader dark-theme refresh and new native support for viewing and editing Markdown files inside MetaEditor.

On the terminal side, MetaQuotes said it improved dark-theme colors across major interface components and fixed an issue that could interrupt tick-history download and synchronization under certain conditions. It also expanded fundamental data coverage for supported instruments, added a Kurdish interface translation, and fixed rendering issues affecting some chart objects and custom-symbol group deletion.

For developers and advanced users, MetaEditor now opens Markdown files in preview mode by default and allows switching to edit mode from the context menu. The release also adds a NormalizeDouble method for vectors and matrices, plus a list of compiler and parsing fixes inside MQL5.

This is not the kind of MT5 release that changes order entry or leverage, but it does touch the day-to-day experience for traders and system developers who spend hours inside the platform.
