FxPro Trading Platforms Review
🟢 Tier 1 RegulatedAvailable Trading Platforms
FxPro offers 4 trading platforms: MT4, MT5, cTrader, FxPro Edge. Each serves a different purpose, and the right choice depends on your trading style and experience level.
| Platform | Best For | Devices | Key Feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| MetaTrader 4 | Forex-focused traders, EA users | Desktop, Web, iOS, Android | Largest EA/indicator ecosystem |
| MetaTrader 5 | Multi-asset traders | Desktop, Web, iOS, Android | More timeframes, depth of market |
| cTrader | Advanced traders, scalpers | Desktop, Web, iOS, Android | Level II pricing, fast execution |
| FxPro Edge | Beginners and mobile users | Web, iOS, Android | Simplified interface, integrated tools |
MetaTrader 4 (MT4)
MT4 remains the most popular forex trading platform globally, and FxPro's implementation is solid. The platform connects to FxPro's servers with typical latency under 50ms from European locations. One-click trading works reliably, and all standard order types are supported: market, limit, stop, and trailing stop.
The charting package includes 30+ built-in indicators, 9 timeframes, and support for custom indicators written in MQL4. If you are using Expert Advisors for automated trading, MT4 on FxPro supports them without restrictions — though VPS hosting is recommended for strategies that need to run 24/5.
The main limitation of MT4 is its age. The platform lacks some modern features like advanced order types, built-in economic calendars, and depth-of-market display. If you trade only forex and use EAs, MT4 is still a solid choice. For anything more, consider MT5.
MetaTrader 5 (MT5)
MT5 on FxPro supports the full instrument range — forex, indices, commodities, stocks, and crypto CFDs where available. The platform adds 21 timeframes (vs. MT4's 9), a built-in economic calendar, and depth of market (DOM) for seeing order book data.
For technical analysis, MT5 comes with 38 built-in indicators and 44 analytical objects. The strategy tester supports multi-threaded backtesting, which is significantly faster than MT4 for optimizing automated strategies. MQL5 is also more capable than MQL4, supporting object-oriented programming.
One important note: MT4 and MT5 Expert Advisors are not cross-compatible. If you are migrating from MT4 to MT5, your existing EAs will need to be rewritten in MQL5.
cTrader
cTrader on FxPro provides Level II pricing with full depth of market visibility. The platform is particularly strong for scalpers and day traders who need fast execution and granular order management. Advanced order types like stop-limit and market range orders give you precise control over entries and exits.
The charting in cTrader is arguably the best among the three major platforms. It supports detachable charts, custom indicator development in C#, and a clean, modern interface that feels less cluttered than MetaTrader.
FxPro Edge
FxPro's proprietary FxPro Edge platform is designed for traders who want a streamlined experience without the complexity of MetaTrader. The interface is clean and intuitive, with integrated research tools, real-time news feeds, and simplified charting.
While it lacks the customization depth of MT4/MT5, the proprietary platform excels at usability. Order placement takes fewer clicks, watchlists are more visual, and the learning curve is minimal. For new traders or those who prefer simplicity, it is a strong option.
Mobile Trading
FxPro supports mobile trading on both iOS and Android. The MetaTrader mobile apps provide core functionality — charting, order placement, position management, and push notifications for price alerts. The FxPro Edge mobile app offers a native experience optimized for smaller screens, with swipe gestures and biometric login.
In our testing, the mobile experience was reliable for monitoring positions and placing quick trades. However, serious technical analysis and multi-chart setups are better handled on desktop or tablet. Mobile apps are best treated as a companion to your main platform, not a replacement.
Execution Speed and Order Types
FxPro reports average execution speeds under 1 second for market orders, with the majority filled in under 300ms during normal market conditions. We did not experience significant slippage during our testing period, though results can vary during high-volatility events like NFP releases.
All standard order types are supported: market orders, pending limit/stop orders, take profit, stop loss, and trailing stops. The advanced platforms also support stop-limit orders and partial close functionality.
Charting and Technical Indicators
Across FxPro's platforms, you have access to 38+ built-in indicators on MT5, 30+ on MT4, plus the ability to add custom indicators. Drawing tools include trendlines, Fibonacci retracements, channels, pitchforks, and more.
For traders who rely heavily on charting, connecting FxPro to TradingView via a broker integration (where available) can provide the best of both worlds — TradingView's superior charting with FxPro's execution.
Platform Verdict
FxPro's platform offering scores 9.0/10 in our testing. The combination of platforms available covers every trader profile from beginner to advanced.
