Withdrawal
A withdrawal is the process of moving funds from your trading account back to your personal bank account, e-wallet, or other payment method. Processing times vary: e-wallets like Skrill or Neteller are typically fastest (minutes to hours), credit cards take 1-3 business days, and bank wire transfers can take 3-5 business days.
Most regulated brokers follow anti-money-laundering (AML) rules that require you to withdraw to the same method you used for your deposit, up to the deposited amount. Profits above the original deposit can usually be withdrawn via bank transfer. First withdrawals sometimes take longer due to identity verification requirements.
Withdrawal policies are something many traders overlook when choosing a broker — until they try to withdraw. Check for withdrawal fees (some brokers charge per transaction, others don't), minimum withdrawal amounts, processing time commitments, and any restrictions. Reading other traders' experiences with a broker's withdrawal process is some of the most valuable research you can do.
